In 1980 David and Carolyn Petersen landed in the mountains of Southwest Colorado, where they sought and found a simple, independent life in tune with nature. The Good Hunt follows Dave on his annual elk hunt with his hand-made traditional long bow. This practice, which provides him and Carolyn with meat for the year, has come to define him as a person. Age will soon prevent him from hunting, cutting wood or shoveling through the waist deep snow in winter. Can he push that day forward or will this be his last hunt? |
