Actor Spencer Tracy makes a plea for Americans to provide financial support to the Red Cross, their work which is now more important than ever. Among the many services the Red Cross provides during this time are helping civilian defense needs through the training of first aiders, home nurses, and nurses’ aides; providing life saving blood including to the wounded in combat; and providing aide to the fighting forces. As the President has declared March “Red Cross Month”, it is now easier than ever to donate to the worthy cause. |
