I agree about Mary and that’s what she gets. I noticed before how she was went against SJ but for the alliance. How Mary was talking to Christina OPENLY basically threatening her. Like Christina didn’t have the right to play the game. SMH
I was talking about SJ. How that dialogue when right before the voting. IMO, she shut up all those who voted against or those who tried to validate why they were not voting her way. Man and when she didn’t choose Mary-Mary couldn’t hide her feelings

This is pretty distressing but at the same time, somehow, wonderful.
My mum passed away suddenly and none of us (6 girls, one 16 but the rest adults) got the chance to say goodbye or prepare in any way.
Watched 1st ep and will definitely watch the rest. ♥

So what you’re basically saying is that all things that could potentially harm someone should be banned? That’s unrealistic and totally impossible. You can’t wrap your kids in cotton wool. If you are stupid enough to have a gun then bloody put it away.
I haven’t heard of any kids watching it and my kid for sure didn’t so I’m not sure where you get that opinion of me from since you don’t know me at all. There is such a thing as parents and I, for one, am a good parent who would never allow, or encourage, my son to watch this.

My thoughts exactly BUT I think if Tod realigns with Carson, it still may be poss. He needs to seek some safety elsewhere since I think now Meesha has begun to dig a hole and it’ll only get deeper. The others are hard to pin point too-and don’t really seem to have any game play-though they may think otherwise

The others, yes no-one really seems to be fully playing the game but I do think that will develop the more they get to know each other. Kinda has to really.
I do wonder, can’t remember who, but if they have ever heard of BB let alone watched it. They seem incredibly naive to how it’s played. But, hey might make fun TV for us lol :P

After this ep, I want Cynthia (though I know she isn’t) to go-why would she automatically believe 2 people who are working together and who’s never been on your team (1 of them already turned on your alliance before). What They’re trying to say happened with Shannah makes no sense. I hope HOH starts to think more logically and about the numbers. If she’s backdoored, then I hope Meesha & Todd pick them off one by one. If that happens not sure who will win because Meesha is not likeable.

I specially adore their versions of Married at First Sight and Big Brother. Then there’s The Block which is the best makeover show, although back before that I did adore Extreme Makeover: Home Edition USA. It was weird in the 1st season of Aussie Survivor though cos there were no immunity idols at all and I think they are a crucial part of the game. So happy they changed that.

I’d only ever seen the British version and now i’m seriously binge watching this entire US version. It’s funny, moving and eye-opening. One thing is maybe too much simulated sex lol but it carries political messages that are still as current today as they were back in 2000-2005. I’m surprised they kept the name as it stems from a British saying “Nowt queer as folk” which I doubt many Americans would have heard, from before gay and queer meant homosexual, meaning ‘There’s nothing as strange as people’.
Can we have the British one too by any chance?

Crazy is an understatement! Brandon must be a professional floater and thing is he doesn’t hide that he literally floats to whereever the winds blow, one week to the next, one side to the other. They were so focused on everyone else, they barely noticed him…except for Beth. She woke up last ep, but then it was too late. I’m sorry Jed was an idiot for using it on anyone else besides himself when he was on the block! This is BBC and he knew he was target?!?! He just doesn’t play the game well, she just wins good comps. That’s why Beth will be a bigger threat, she can control him. I do want him back rather than her ONLY becaues she said she had a lot to tell him and I want to know what she said. I also don’t respect her for saying that since she knew it was a game and now she takes it personal
Totally agree, that was rooky mistake numero uno! NEVER use it on someone else if you’re on the block! Like, just don’t do it! I was amazed tho that Tara did put Brandon up, even more amazed Jed’s alliance didn’t take advantage of that though. I think if Jed gets back in, he will have a huge score to settle and will have learned from his mistake. Tara I am happy to see the back of tbh. Literally dying for the next ep ♥

I’m mid binge watching this amazing gem of a series. It’s caught me by surprise how invested I feel in these characters, they truly move me, make me laugh and I find myself rooting for them at every turn. I’m not at all a footie fan but the heart of this is not really about any particular game, it’s human and heartwarming. Highly reccomend this to anyone 10/10

Queer As Folk (2000)
Just finished all 83 episodes and literally have fallen in love with these characters. The British one was brilliant, I saw it in 1999 when it aired, but this far, far surpasses that. It’s gone into each person in a much deeper sense. Brian starts off as a thoroughly dislikable person and becomes someone who you can’t help but respect and love. Justin is just adorable from start to finish. Others who I was indifferent about at the start like Emmit, become very significant as the story unfolds and captured my heart. Michael and his mum are so funny and warm they melted my heart from the beginning. It’s beautiful to see love being expressed in so many different ways and from so many viewpoints. All in all this show is and edgey, gritty and an insiteful, hard look at prejudice and how it affects those experiencing it.
I’m going out on a limb to say, this is the best series I have ever seen. 11/10 *

I thought I knew and understood the history of the fight for racial equality in the USA but I didn’t truly. Until I watched this. Brilliantly explained, this series sheds light and lifts the veil on racism and how it got such a grip on American society. Definitely reccomend that everyone watches this

Some of us respect honesty and integrity. I know it’s a game but historically, at least in Aus and UK versions, usually the most honest person wins. It’s just a matter of where your values are and what you value in a person. Notice both UK and Aus versions are voted by the public so I think it’s safe to say most people value the same things as I do. Namecalling is nasty and totally uneccesary one day you will be old too.
