Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
sastarr 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Are any of these link to the other ending?

Canuckian 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

honestly i don’t know..i take it you are reffering to the original ending..i only used mixdrop to watch movie and that had the alternate ending i had never seen before…sorry..if you find a link with original HAPPY ending, please let me know lol

Constantine (2005)
harryteze 6 points 3 years ago.

Some movies must never be remade, and this one is of them. It’s classic as it is… probably the only film I’ve seen more than 10 times and each time, I learn something new.

Canuckian 2 points 3 years ago.

I too agree. One of my faves!

Black Water: Abyss (2020)
Canuckian 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

One time watch for me, a couple of predictable jump scares but as another comment said, the gator really wasn’t the star of this movie, the interpersonal drama was between the characters. The scenes WITH the gator could have been much better, needed more gator lol. Meh. I give it a 4/10

Deep Blue Sea 3 (2020)
Canuckian 4 points 3 years ago.

The first DBS will always e one of my faves, but this one wasn’t too bad…better than the second imo which was much more lower budget..the sharks in this looked pretty darn good! Good for a one time watch, i give this a 7/10. Just a good ole romp ‘n chomp flick lol.

The Sopranos (1999) S1 E2
Infinitystar 2 points 3 years ago.

I think its more that we as fans did not want it to end but I thought the ending suited the show. The truth is the ending is odd not bad, but there are no unanswered questions at least not for me.

Canuckian 2 points 3 years ago.

Thank You Infinity, appreciate that. I am halfway through season 3 atm..taking my time, watching a couple episodes a week…i am TOTALLY hooked lol, and yes, i don’t want it to end already and i am trying to drag it out as long as possible as hard as it is lol

The Possession of Michael King (2014)
Canuckian 4 points 3 years ago.

Huh, not bad, not too bad at all. Surprised this isn’t a more well known flick in this genre considering there were a few recognizable faces in it. Had a pretty decent creep factor. I have seen better, but have definitely seen much worse lol. I would give this a solid 6.5/10. Cheers all!

Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
Canuckian 5 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This has been one of my favorite movies since i was young, Steve Martin’s Sadistic-Dentist song has been stuck in my head for ages, i still hum it once in awhile and i am always using little quotes from this movie to this day lol. The “animatronics” or “mechanics” if you may for Audrey II are absolutely amazing. I used the Mixdrop link and that was when i learned that there is an actual Directors cut which has a COMPLETELY different ending than the original version that i grew up watching…a much darker ending…tbh i didn’t like it, i prefer the happy ending of the original version lol..anyways, this is still a grew movie to watch and if you are interested to know after watching The Directors cut what the ending was for the original version i grew up watching, feel free to message me..basically the Hero wins and gets the girl…the Directors cut is the exact opposite where the Plant wins and eats everybody lol…(gotta remember to click Contains Spoilers before i post this lol)

Striking Out (2017)
Alien 2 points 3 years ago.

I loved that show, too, but it’s been so long since I watched it I don’t even remember what I was upset about. And I’m still depressed about Firefly.

Canuckian 1 points 3 years ago.

LOL don’t even get me started about Firefly lol..at least they didn’t leave that on a cliffhangar like they did with Stargate Universe when they were just about to enter “The Gauntlet” lol

Striking Out (2017)
Alien 1 points 3 years ago.

Don’t you hate it when an episode ends on a cliff-hanger but there is no current plan to continue the series? Gahhhh! This was a very well made show. Smart, sexy and intriguing. I suppose there is always a chance for season 3.

P.S. Sam is a dirt bag. Like father, like son.

Canuckian 2 points 3 years ago.

Exactly what they did with Stargate Universe, one of my all time FAVORITE sci-fi shows.

The Legend of Tarzan (2016)
Canuckian 1 points 3 years ago.

Every time i watch this, i like it more and more. Some spectacular CGI and i love how they built on the “legend” of Tarzan, being somewhat more than a man, yet still a man..if you watch it, you will see what i mean. Alexander Skaarsgard was the perfect casting for this imo, and Margot Robbie as Jane..well, I’ll watch her in anything (or nothing ;) )lol. I give this an easy 10.

Pirates (1986)
Canuckian 3 points 3 years ago.

Walter Mathau’s “Captain Red” could give Johnny Depps “Jack Sparrow” a run for his money any day. Mathau plays his part BEAUTIFULLY in this classic Pirate movie. Watched this movie many times growing up and always come back to it once in awhile..was SO surprised to not only find it here, but that it had good links too! If you love a good Pirate movie, give this a go!

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Canuckian 0 points 3 years ago.

Jar-Jar Binx was the dumbest character ever created for the franchise imo. Lucas dropped the ball on that one for sure. It has been awhile since i watched these movies and now that the arc has come to an end with the last Star Wars movie, thought i might binge the entire 9 movie set. Still think the pod race scene was pretty bad-ass lol.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes (2018)
Canuckian 2 points 3 years ago.

ok so this series comes right after Dragon Ball Super and the story arc where all the universes fight for the entertainment of the ultimate being (the childlike guy, can’t remember his name) and the winning universe lives and all others get destroyed, right? I don’t know why its taking so long to get dubbed…i am DYING to watch this but i just CAN’T watch the subbed and listen to the voice actor who does Goku..i just CAN’T. Goku, probably the toughest warrior in the universe but sounds like a smurf with a cold. Dubbed Goku is waay better, and i usually don’t mind subbed stuff, but i just can’t take subbed Goku seriously lol..anyways, anyone have an idea when they might come out with a dubbed version of this newest arc?

City of Angels (1998)
Julianna 1 points 4 years ago.

I have not seen Willow but I have been hearing about it for many years! I will have to give it a go now. Smiles~

Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

https://www.primewire.li/movie/215664-watch-willow Here is a direct link to Willow Julianna ;) If you love fantasy ie. Lord of the Rings and older films like Legend with a young Tom cruise and Tim Curry as The Devil (one of the BEST costume effects i have EVER seen even to this day!) then you will love Willow…the CGI is a bit outdated (still using some Stop-motion i think with some early CGI) but it doesn’t detract whatsoever from the great story. It has remained one of my childhood faves to this day..i hope you enjoy it as much as i have over the years..

City of Angels (1998)
Julianna 2 points 4 years ago.

Again, I absolutely agree! Beautiful film! The soundtrack itself is almost a stand alone! Wonderful!

Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

lol, nice to meet someone who has similar appreciation for certain movies lol..saw your reply on a comment i made on Ghost and the Darkness about the Lions of Tsavo…i still to this day think that is one of the best movies of that year and one of Kilmers defining roles after Halliday, Iceman and of course, my fave, Madmartigan (have you seen the movie Willow by chance?)

Proximity (2020)
blueskies223 1 points 4 years ago.

That as a female doctor who is mistaken for a nurse at least five times a day every day and whose medical and scientific opinions are regularly discredited owing to me being female I’m really tired of how people assume that brilliant doctors and scientists are male and not female, and shows like this only help perpetuate that mindset?

Canuckian 3 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

well, tbh i haven’t seen this show, i only saw your comment and assumed you were a Feminist pissed off that someone dared to make a male something better than a worm in the ground (which is the opinion most feminists have of the male species)…i can only speak for myself but i have never assumed any such thing, nor does anyone i know think that way (as far as i know) and if they did, i would have the same discussion with them. In 2020, opportunities are there for the taking. If you want it, and you have the grit, determination and intelligence to go for it, than you can have it..such as being a brilliant Doctor whether your male OR female. I don’t understand how someone can mistake a doctor for a nurse seeing that they wear very different clothes/uniforms so that right there shows that whoever mistakes such a thing is obviously not very smart/observant so i would take no offense as the words of an “ignoramus” and i would take GREAT pleasure in correcting them. Anyways, all im saying is people are gonna think what they wanna think and no TV show is going to change that. My response to your earlier comment was based on me thinking you were one of those All-Male hating Feminazis pissed off whenever a man is shown capable of being more than just whatever their opinions are of them if you know what i mean. If you are a Doctor like you claim to be, then you have earned the title of MD and rightfully so and the opinions of smaller minded people should mean little to you. Dr. Jane C. Wright, pioneer in Chemotherapy and a black woman..brilliant. Dr. Gertrude B. Elion, basically a Rockstar in MEdical Science as she bascially saved millions of children from a death sentence from Leukemia, she also created drugs which mitigated the effects of malaria, kidney stones, arthritis and gout among others…definitely brilliant…i have many lists in front of me as this thread got me curious so i did some looking and female doctors/scientists are just as responsible as an male doctor for many of the drugs/cures we have today. Anyone who assumes that only men make good doctors/scientists are not worth listening too thus anything they say can be taken with a grain of salt. I am no Doctor yet even i know that. Small minded people have narrow opinions to fit into their narrow world, therefor anything they say wouldn’t bother me. What DOES bother me though is when someone chops down the entire apple tree because of one bad apple and they just assume that they ALL must be bad or the same. That is what led me to reply to your comment, i just wanted to know what your reasoning was behind your comment. Cheers Doc.

Capone (2020)
VacantField42 0 points 4 years ago.

Hoping to watch tonight! Tom Hardy was great as Bain + stretches his craft in impressive ways. Thank You PW!

Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

If you are a fan of Hardy as i am, if you haven’t seen it already, i highly recommend the movie “Warrior”..anyways, it also stars Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte (imo one of the BEST outings by Nolte in a long time, he absolutely nailed it!) It is an AMAZING movie with top acting all-round. Hope you enjoy it! Cheers!

The Rookie (2018) S2 E20
Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

Now THAT is how you end a Season..those last 5 minutes..WOW. Just LOVE this series! Nathan Fillion is really busting out his acting chops for this one imo. Every show he is in i really like, he just brings something that i can’t quite put my finger on, but it is refreshing. Really wish they would cast him to play Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movies they are making..i know they cast Tom Holland for some reason (i think they are starting off with a young Drake) but if you’ve sen the 15 min fan film that Nathan Fillion actually paid for himself as an Audition for the role, you would understand why he is the ONLY choice to play Drake. Anyways, 10/10 for The Rookie, can’t wait to see next seasons premiere!

The Dead Lands (2020)
gunnerdan 1 points 4 years ago*.

They have yet to decide whether they will renewal the series according to tvdateswatch.com The show (season 1) started in January so I don’t think you’ll have to wait too long to find out

Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

Thanks for the info gunner

The Dead Lands (2020)
Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

Was this cancelled or was it just a one season run? If so, does it have an ending or was it just cut off like so many other cancelled shows leaving us with no ending and too many unanswered questions? Anyone? Really want to get into this, but don’t want to set myself up for bitter disappointment if you know what i mean..tnx in advance.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was awesome! I even caught Raven using the old “F” word once..almost missed it lol. Definitely for a mature audience, never seen so many familiar faces from the DC Universe all in one movie, and there was some pretty graphic content too! Seeing old favorite heros and Iconic heroes we all know and loive get torn in half, eviscerated, decapitaed..i mean hold CRAP! This was awesome all the way through,it was action packed and managed to pull on the old heart strings at the same time. Definitely one of the most “mature” of the DC animated movies imo…and those last couple minutes with Constantine and Flash re. a new Flashpoint, i mean, that’s HUGE right? Flashpoint in the comics was a massive turning point for the DC Universe in both video and graphic novel/comics, so if i’m right, they just opened the door for a whole NEW slew of DC movies if you know what i mean with possible entirely new backstories for some, good guys now bad and bad guys now good even..ANYTHING can happen just like it did with the first Flashpoint if you remember. I wonder, did this spill over from the comics or are they going to base future comics due to the events of the Apokolips War..ugh, DCU is so huge it can make your head spin lol..the whole multiverse thing always confused the heck out of me lol …either way, can’t WAIT to see what happens next!

The Rookie (2018) S2 E19

Whoah! The plot thickens! IMO this is the best Cop show out atm, love watching anything with Nathan Fillion in it, he always brings it to every show he is on, and this is no exception. Great episode!

Underwater (2020)
Canuckian 3 points 4 years ago.

One time watch for me. Movie was way too dark, was really hard to tell what was going on half the time (fault of how it was shot, not quality of the upload) A nice high tension, movie with a creepy atmosphere and some interesting creatures, but this could have been SOO much better. Kristen Stewart was a bad choice for the role. I give this a 5/10

The Barbarians (1987)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

Oh my gosh, i can’t believe this is here LOL! LOVED this movie growing up! It has the WORST sound effects, the worst special effects but it has some of the funniest, cheesiest lines and it really doesn’t (IMO anyway) take itself too seriously. If you are in the mood for some cheesy, B-Movie fun, give this a go…i know i am definitely going to watch this later, i haven’t seen this in decades!! Thanks Uploaders!

The Vatican Tapes (2015)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 4 years ago.

Underrated. Definitely one of the better found footage movies.

Canuckian 2 points 4 years ago.

Found footage style with Djimon Hounsou and Michael Pena, 2 well known and very good actors? Seeing as how most found footage type movies are done with a video camera in someones basement, seeing this genre with those actors has my curiosity peaked..think im gonna give this a watch this weekend. Thanks JfbD for the great review!

Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

Love Johnny Mnemonic…based on your comparison to that sci-fi classic, i am putting this on my watch list. Thanks :)

Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

Im an idiot for waiting so long to watch this..this movie is Amazing!. NOT what you were expecting at all. That one scene though..you know the one i’m talking about if you’ve seen this already..I nearly lost it. An EASY 10/10! I agree with others who say this Roman Griffin Davis kid who played Jojo was absolutely excellent in his role. This comes across as a bit Satirical but at the same time it isn’t…there were a couple of extremely intense moments in this movie that came out of nowhere, simply brilliant. This was great, highly recommended.

Battlefield Earth (2000)
footshot 1 points 4 years ago.

Thats theone , Highly reccomend it, theres humour hidden there in the book ,.. like the antihero Solt an griis [salt & grease] for instance, wouldnt translate to film , awesome story tho

Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

Soltann Gris, that was his name…yeah he was awesome…Since the entire series was written from HIS perspective for the most part, you really got to see his character change through the series..when he got kidnapped by those lesbians and they kept him as a sex slave (although lesbian sadists, they couldn’t ignore the very LARGE “appendage” he gave himself when he chose his human look before they sent him to Earth..omg that entire part of the story had me ROLLIN LOL…i am seriously considering going out and finding that series again and giving it a third read…its been about 15 yrs since i last read it lol. Cheers footshot

Battlefield Earth (2000)
footshot 0 points 4 years ago.

he wrote a longer scifi book too , cant recall the title but it was great [funny too]

Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

He wrote a Decology (ten books total) and i believe the overall series was called Mission Earth with each of the ten books having its own title..i read the series twice, it was the first Sci-fi series i ever read and i loved (and laughed) every minute of it. It was amazingly written and had so many colorful characters that could be easily related too..especially the “bad” guy who had the absolute WORST luck lol..most of the funniest moments in the series had to do with him and his misadventures trying to take down the “hero” so to speak..anyways, not sure if this is the series you are reffering too, but i highly suggest giving it a read if you ever get the chance.

Battlefield Earth (2000)
Yellowbeard 3 points 4 years ago*.

Honestly, battlefield earth is a fine book - but there’s 1300 pages of it. They would’ve needed at least a trilogy to do it justice, they left out a lot of genuinely funny and cool things to fit it into a single movie. This version bombed so hard it’ll be a long time before any studio touches it again.

Canuckian 0 points 4 years ago.

agreed..i read the nbook a long time ago and i remember how disappointed i was in how loosely this movie is based on the book…i mean, the overall plot is the same, but as you said, the book was massive and there is no way they could have put it all into one movie, a trilogy at least to do it justice…the book was amazing, probably one of my all time fave sci-fi reads. I highly suggest giving it a go..forget who wrote it and the controversial nature of his other hobbies, just read this for what it is, a GREAT sci-fi novel. If you liked the movie, then you will LOVE the book, trust me.

Uncle Buck (1989)
RoboPhone 2 points 4 years ago.

Thanks, Canuckian, for reminding me of this late (RIP) actor’s works!
As such, I have now watched them all, including one you missed mentioning above: 1991’s Delirious!
Also one of his best (imo) and highly recommended for everyone else to see!

Canuckian 2 points 4 years ago.

Don’t forget “Brewster’s Millions” where he played a supporting role to the legendary Richard Pryor..another one of my faves when i was a kid. ;) Cheers Robo! Don’t think i have ever seen Delirious..going on my watch list now! Thanks!

Gold Rush: Parker's Trail (2017) S4 E2
Canuckian 0 points 4 years ago.

LOL i like his comment at the end there ..” She is new to working with me so i don’t wanna go full Parker on her just yet..” LOL..well, at least he recognizes he can be a bit of an asshole, but, he is fair at least…he just has high expectations from anyone that he hires and is probably the reason he is considered a mining prodigy and one of the best miners in all the Yukon (much to Tony Beets chagrin i am sure LOL)..so far i like this season..haven’t watched the first two seasons, think i might have to do that.

The Curse of Oak Island (2014) S7 E16
Canuckian -1 points 4 years ago.

Over seven seasons in and i STILL get excited whenever they find even the most inconsequential thing lol. This show has had me hooked from the get-go…even though they have yet to find any sort of “treasure”, the things they HAVE found are fascinating, the numerous hypothesis they have tossed at them by different “experts” are always fascinating but in the end, after all they have found so far as per “clues”, you simply can’t ignore the fact that SOMETHING happened on that island a long time ago, something significant, and i can’t WAIT to see more! Don’t EVER give up Rick and Marty! If anyone can solve the mystery of Oak Island, it will be the two of them I think. I give this episode an 8/10 ! Until next week!

Tron: Uprising (2012)
Canuckian 0 points 4 years ago.

This was a GREAT show, i remember getting really into it and being seriously bummed when it was cancelled for some reason…i have heard through the grapevine that SUPPOSEDLY someone might be rebooting or continuing this eventually, though i put little stock in that..would be nice though if they continued the existing story. Anyway, thanks for the upload!

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010)
Canuckian 0 points 4 years ago.

Forgot all about this movie…absolutely stunning CGI with some really great slow-mo action scenes played to a great soundtrack. Great movie all around, i highly recommend giving it a watch if you haven’t done so already..a true adventure flick but with incredibly rendered Owls through CGI. I give this a solid 9/10!

Michael (1996)
Canuckian -1 points 4 years ago.

One of my fave Travolta flicks, a heart warming movie that will leave you feeling good in the end. Excellent acting by all, there is just something about this movie you can’t help but love to come back to once in awhile. a Solid 9/10 from me.

Star Trek: Picard (2020) S1 E6
Canuckian -2 points 4 years ago.

Wow, what an old character to bring back from one of my fave TNG episodes too! Awesome! I sometimes wondered what ever happened to him after he left the Enterprise..really enjoyed this episode! Want to see more of Picards Romulan bodyguard do some fighting! Can’t wait to see next weeks, looks action packed!

The Call of the Wild (2020)
Canuckian 1 points 4 years ago.

Excellent cam video, totally watchable, sound gets better after about two minutes in. only twice did the 20 second ads pop up though the movie so not so bad… If you really want to watch this, this is a good enough copy to do so imo. Great movie!

The Boat (1982)
Canuckian 2 points 4 years ago.

Thanks Robo! This movie totally captures the feel of being in a U-boat in WWII, and it is also best viewed in its ORIGINAL German as this movie WAS filmed in German and English subs were added..the dubbed version just doesn’t do this justice, this movie loses something when you watch it dubbed so my advice is watch it in its original form, German with english subs. I grew up watching this movie with my Dad who is a WWII buff and this is one of his faves as well. As movies in the submarine genre go, this is one of the BEST ever made imo. Those U-boats were a LOT smaller than you think and this movie really captures that, and it focuses on the mindset of the sailors in the boat, the real fear at having depth charges dropped all around you, the psychological trauma it left these poor young soldiers with…anyways, i highly recommend this to any war movie fan..this is one of the few movies where you will actually be rooting for these guys by the end even though this is filmed from the german side, not the allies…just watch it and you will understand. a SOLID 10/10 for this WWII classic. Jurgen Prochnow is AMAZING and absolutely nails the role of the haunted U-boat Captain.

The Ice Pirates (1984)
nikkimckelvy 4 points 4 years ago.

This one is fantastic! Class B science fiction. It’s cheesy and funny and odd. You’ll even see a very young Angelica Houston wielding a sword in a good fencing scene! It’s great!

Canuckian 0 points 4 years ago.

Don’t forget there is a young Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) who had some of the funniest lines in this movie!

The Ice Pirates (1984)
Canuckian 3 points 4 years ago*.

I can’t believe someone added this GEM! “Space Herpes!!” LMAO! I grew up watching this, has a few familiar faces in it but it is funny and action packed! I HIGHLY recommend this early 80’s comedic sci-fi!

Crawford (2018)
Star Trek: Picard (2020) S1 E4
Canuckian -1 points 4 years ago.

I think its a little early to be claiming this as the “Best Star Trek series EVER” though i applaud your enthusiasm lol. Only 4 episodes in, the series is still establishing itself, setting a tone for the type of series it wants to be…Unlike other Star Trek characters/Captains, Picard was at heart a Diplomat and Romantic though he could throw it down when necessary, fighting was ALWAYS his last resort. Those who remember TNG will know this about him. With this in mind, i understand why this hasn’t come across as a combat heavy first 4 episodes…Remember also, the Romulans who seem to be the main antagonists here are secretive assassin like characters so again, the way this series has played out thus far, it completely reflects the main characters in it. I am really enjoying the pace set thus far and watching Picard keep catching himself giving orders on the little ship and the apologetic looks he gives the “Captain” made me laugh. Looking forward to seeing what this new addition to the team can do..was pretty bad-ass at the end there though we barely got to see anything it was over so fast lol. One of my all-time fave ST characters finally makes an appearance that has been teased thus far..really looking forward to next weeks episode!

Armageddon (1998)
Badger -1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I also love this film… in the same way I love Starship Troopers; it’s so bad that it comes full-circle and somehow becomes good again. Armageddon is NOT a good film, in any traditional sense, at all. For example: you think this film has a great story? To quote Ben Affleck, “You ever notice how everyone in these movies, they always have to be the best?”
“Bruce Willis is the best deep-core driller? I didn’t know they rated deep-core drillers. You know what I mean? Like, if you went around and asked somebody, ‘Who’s the best deep-core driller?’ How do you know? Who keeps track of these things?”
“I asked Michael why it was easier to train oil drillers to become astronauts than it was to train astronauts to become oil drillers and he told me to shut the fuck up. So that was the end of that talk. [Does Michael Bay voice] “You know, Ben, just shut up, OK? You know, this is a real plan.” I was like, “You mean it’s a real plan at NASA to train oil drillers?” and he was like, “Just shut your mouth!” See, here’s where we demonstrate that, because Bruce is gonna tell the guys that they did a bad job of building the drill tank. [With extreme sarcasm] See, he’s a salt-of-the-earth guy and the NASA NERDONAUTS don’t understand, uh, his salt-of-the-earth ways, his rough-and-tumble ways. [Just straight up laughing now] Like somehow they can build ROCKET SHIPS but don’t understand what makes a good tranny. Eight whole months? As if that’s not enough time to learn how to drill a hole, but in a week we’re gonna learn how to be astronauts? [Impersonating Willis’s character, Harry Stamper] “Oh one whole week? We’re gonna learn how to fly into space? I need my guys.” Why do you need ’em? “They’re the best.” Everyone’s the best. Why are they the best? “I don’t know, they just are.” I mean, this is a little bit of a logic stretch, let’s face it. They don’t know jack about drilling? How hard can it be? Aim the drill at the ground and turn it on.”
I’d actually recommend listening to the commentary, if you own a copy; it’s hilarious. Also did you notice how Bruce Willis’ character (Harry Stamper I think) is mentioned as having some kind of mental condition (his daughter claims that she became mentally older than him when she was still a child) and then it’s literally never mentioned again at any point in the film. No one at NASA seems to have any issues with putting a guy with the mental age of an 11 year old in charge of saving the planet, nor does Bruce Willis seem to put any effort into playing a 40 year old with a sub-13 mental age. An honorable mention has to go to, “HE HAS SPACE DEMENTIA!” That will always make me laugh so hard I almost piss myself.
In conclusion: almost nothing about this film is perfect but that doesn’t stop it from being awesome.

Canuckian -2 points 4 years ago.

Dude, his daughters comment to him about his mental age was NOT meant as an insult or accusing him of being mentally handicapped..she was reffering to the fact that in their dynamic family of just the two of them, she was the more MATURE one and he sort of stayed immature, like a big kid, not adopting the “Father” persona but more of a “buddy” “Big brother” relationship..again, you are reading WAAAY too much into this shit and you have that DEAD wrong bro lol. It was never mentioned again in the movie because it was NOT a plot point to be “explored”..it was a daughter telling her Father that he is very immature and to give him an example of how immature he acts sometimes, she says she became MORE mature than him (figuratively speaking of course!!!) by the age of 11. Fore real dude, how do you enjoy any movies you watch with this kind of mind set of picking apart EVERY single TINY inconsequential thing?

Armageddon (1998)
Badger -1 points 4 years ago.

Please google, “scientific mistakes in Armageddon”. There are over 160 (you spotted the most glaringly obvious but there are a LOT more)! And that’s just the actual scientific errors, not the logical incongruities/bizarre decisions which make no sense (say training oil drillers to be astronauts instead of the other fing way around. I don’t pretend to be either an oil driller or an astronaut but I’m pretty certain which one’s more difficult). I don’t know which lists of great 90s films you’re looking at but this film’s not usually on them at all. For example: Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, the Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas, the Silence of the Lambs, Schindler’s List, Titantic, Seven, Forrest Gump, the Sixth Sense, Fight Club, the Big Lebowski, Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting, Good Will Hunting, Fargo, American Beauty, Groundhog Day. That’s 20 films from the 90s picking randomly and in no specific order which are widely regarded as better than this one. I could’ve easily done another 20 without mentioning this film.

Wow dude, you read WAAAY too much into my comment lol. My comment is my own, i never claimed it was “scientifically accurate” either and i am not going to pick apart a decent sci-fi FANTASY flick to its minute details because I actually ENJOY watching this movie…the fire/oxygen was meant as a “glaringly” obvious oversight that almost ANYONE would and should have noticed and then forgot about because it takes nothing from the over all story, i just can’t help think about it every time i watch the movie is all. For future, you do NOT need to pick apart my or anyone elses comment to satisfy your own desire to show me/us how much you love to analyze movies for accuracy both scientific and politically. If you watch all movies like that, you won’t enjoy them as much. It IS FICTION after all, right? I appreciate a bit of realism like everyone else, but i also know how to suspend it when i walk into the Theater. Your list of other 90’s movies is good, i love them all as well only having not seen Fargo, Big Lebowski and American Beauty, i have seen all the rest of course.. Curious though..you mention Groundhog Day..fantastic movie of course, Bill Murray at his best…but where is the scientific acccuracy in that movie? Time Travel? Time LOOP? CRAZY! You would almost have to “suspend your belief” to enjoy that movie huh? See my point? Anyway not trying to argue with man, just trying to say, don’t pick apart other peoples comments to either prove them wrong because their opinion doesn’t match yours, know what i mean? Anyway, cheers mate.

The Breakfast Club (1985)

John Hughes had an insight into the teenage psyche that was unmatched and is why all his movies that starred kids/teens were so relateable for most of us who grew up watching his movies…Even today, no matter how old (or young!) you are, you can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia every time you watch one of his movies because at one point in all our lives, we were one of his characters..this movie is one of his best of course and really exemplifies what i am talking about. I highly suggest going and watching more of his movies if you enjoyed The Breakfast Club, you won’t be disappointed. An early 80’s cult classic in every sense, i give this an easy 10/10

True Romance (1993)

Wow, first time watching this and although Tarantino WROTE this but didn’t direct it, it still had his directorial “feel” to it…this was a FUN early 90’s flick, can’t believe i hadn’t seen it until now! This has Gary Oldman, Val Kilmer, Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Samuel L. Jackson, Chistopher Walken..I mean, the list goes ON! I give this a solid 8/10!

Gold Rush (2010) S10 E15

This is Karma coming back to bite Tony Beets in the ass for being such an asshole over the years lol..though i do feel bad for his kids and especially Kevin who is obviously struggling and only wants to make Tony Happy and Proud…i do NOT feel bad for Tony though whatsoever. As for Parker, he is the next big thing when it comes to Yukon Gold Mining..the kid knows how to get shit done and to get people to accomplish the near impossible..he will have ANOTHER record breaking year this year..he truly is a Gold Mining Prodigy…I really hope that things turn around for Rick and his buddy crew..he has really put it all on the line this year and is trying so hard..he just needs to catch a break..getting Gene Cheesman to help him was amazing, can’t ask for better than Gene, he is a Modern Miracle Worker (like Scotty on the Enterprise lol) so hopefully things only get better for Rick from here on out.

Total Recall (1990)

I still think this is way better than the remake they did with Colin Farell a few years back..one of Arnie’s classics for sure, right up there with Running Man and Predator. I have loved this movie since i was a teen, and i will always give this a solid 10/10!
