the 1st 3 eps had easter eggs galore. SWORD was assembled AFTER “the blip.” so for it to be around and running strong, it had to have years of training. given endgame was “tony stark’s snap”, but in the comics, it was the hulks snap that brought everyone back. so this is happening around a month after the final battle of Endgame. “Geraldine” was always Rambeaux. john woo as a character was in the comics of Shang-Zi, and a former SHIELD agent turned FBI after SHIELD fell (before agents of SHIELD existed). the planning, if you look back, was more epic than a feature film.
except the result is the show playing ONLY to an audience it already has.i don’t want a half hour show, billing itself as a sitcom, to have ‘epic’ anything. i want it to be a nice, ably-crafted diversion for 22 minutes. not yet another navel gazing feature in a market already glutted with them.
