I avoid sensationalistic animal series that vilify any animals, and especially sharks. This series surprised me, however. It’s very name, “When Sharks Attack”, put me off for a very long time. I’ve only just started watching (picking random episodes through the seasons from one to six). I realise now that this series is actually very informative and scientific. The research is carried out by multiple professionals (biologists, oceanographers, marine biologists, marine management specialists, selachologists, etc.). Their combined effort(s) make this show something other than what the [suggestive of sensationalism] title would lead you to expect. This series does not vilify the shark, it exposes the truth behind their behaviour and instincts. 3.8/5
