Whilst Season 1 was a let down for me (having read the book and expecting this adaptation to come with a bit of background on Charlie Manx), I am enjoying Season 2 for exactly that reason; it is following the origin story for Manx and Christmasland. I would recommend that anyone who starts the series, starts with Season 2 and then goes to Season 1. There is nearly nothing lost in the reversal and for this “NOS4A2” fan makes it highly recommended and actually frightening (Season 1 didn’t have a scare to be had). 3.8/5
