“Dead to Me” is an amazingly dark, yet touching, comedy that I would normally have dismissed due to the rather generic premise. This show is an unknown gem thanks to the talents of Christina Applegate (“Jen Harding”). Her timing, her facial expressions, her relatability, all take this series from a probable flat and uninteresting story, to a captivating and emotionally charged event. Paired with her is Linda Cardellini, who plays her role as “Judy Hale” to a raw and almost disconcerting perfection. If you are looking for something to watch that will captivate you, this is the show.
