What a fun and amazing series this is. However, it’s in no way original. Coyote Peterson had a web only series for Discovery Channel entitled “Brave Wilderness” which was based on Justin Orvel Schmid’s sting pain index (and book Insect Defenses: Adaptive Mechanisms and Strategies of Prey and Predators). I love seeing this subject matter again. Check out Youtube for Coyote Peterson videos on the same subject!
After watching this series, I have to say that I really don’t care for these two presenters, especially “Caveman”. His yells, screams and sideways “Fuck You” glances after he’s been bitten are like nails on a chalkboard and do nothing to enhance the experience for the viewer. I’d recommend episodes of Brave Wilderness over this series, definitely.
