Clemency Burton-Hill introduces the semi-final of BBC Young Musician 2010. Over 300 of the UK's best young classical musicians entered the competition, but only five have made it through the hotly contested category finals to the competition semi-final. The five category winners - 18-year-old French horn player Anna Douglass, 13-year-old violinst Callum Smart, 15-year-old pianist Lara Omeroglu, 17-year-old flautist Emma Hanlan and the winner of the percussion category - reprise their category-winning performances in front of a new jury at the BBC Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff.
