Paul Hollywood returns to his roots in Merseyside to reminisce with family about where his love of baking began. He visits his mum at the house he grew up in and recreates the first thing he ever baked: ginger biscuits. He goes back to school to make a school-dinner classic - coconut tray bake. Paul also returns to his old church and bakes millionaire's shortbread with salted caramel for the congregation. And he shares his baker dad's recipe for floury baps - still the best bread he's ever tasted. |
