Michael begins in south Wales. His mother grew up in the Cynon Valley, and his grandfather and great-grandfather were both coal-miners. Michael visits the area that supplied coal to power the Titanic, and on the Gower Peninsula, he learns about cockle harvesting with three generations from Selwyn's Seafoods. |
