Brits playing Dutch characters? doesn’t seem right.

WTF? this is terrible. A bunch of Brits pretending to be French? some bad acting and story line. Seen it all before, too many of these boring murder mysteries. Don’t waste your time. Kind of like a death in paradise.

Terrible acting - almost laughable. But after all it’s just another boring network series with the same old story lines
not very good, one episode was enough. it’s like Josh Hartnett who quit acting a few years ago re-surfaces in an amateurish Euro series
Dark and depressing, hard to watch. Martin Freeman puts on a good performance though.
This show is almost laughable - such a terrible predicatable mid-season ending. These writers need a kick up the arse.
Way to ruin a CJ Box story
This is an ok show. It reminds me of Midsomer Murders. A beautiful location to shoot a show - a seacoast town in Ireland. It’s a crime show but on the lighter side. I’ve watched two episodes and will keep watching. Not my favourite but not the worst. Hope that helps.
watched the first episode, not bad but I just don’t like the “close ups” seems the camera is in their face most of the time.
It’s predictable but it’s okay
Reading the description it sounds like a new version of “Lord of the Flies”
Bad acting, boring story, but if you are a high school kid you might like it
Only in England and some of it’s formal colonies do they still drive on a left side. Hungary is not one of them.
Not very good! acting is bad. I don’t buy the ghost buster thing. Half an episode was enough
If you are a teenage girl you might like it. But the usual predictable high school stereotypes. Acting is forced
Not funny and some bad acting. Only watched one episode, don’t waste your time
thumbs down, the blonde supposed to be a stand up comedian? not funny, boring, sad. not a very good series
I love Katey Sagal but another run of the mill network tv lawyer show? No thank you. Guess she needs the money to pay for her hubby’s failed shows.
She deserves better.
Yes well said!! I think most people like the mediocrity of something like this
Just another predictable ABC lawyer series where she stands up for the poor blacks and latinos. All the white rich people are evil and out to exploit the poor working people……………
Loved her in Sons Of Anarchy but this is not good for her!! Please go back to AMC, HBO or another NON-ABC,NBC,CBS, FOX series. The writing for all of these networks is just bad and not original. All the same re-hashed predictable scripts - Fire these writers
Same storyline as the punisher, rogue agents etc boring. They need to fire these hollywood writers. The acting is laughable
I watched until episode 2 - I’m not buying the supernatural Sherlock Holmes thing.
Time to end this pathetic display of Hollywood patting themselves on the back.
I remember seeing this when i was younger, but looking at it now the humour is dated. The laugh track doesn’t help.
why is everything for main stream America so intelligence insultingly stupid ?
Because it’s the “same old” CBS, NBC, ABC FOX prime time. Nothing challenging about it, all been done before, very predictable and it’s the mainstream young people that watch this stuff, can’t make it to complicated
Disappointed with this one, watched 3 episodes and hoped it would get better. Half and hour of this is enough. The characters are just unlikeable and boring. The dialogue……….you just want to tell them to shut up.
Only good thing is the music
Hi Lilly! I think it is way better than A million little things, and much more realistic, though I enjoy that show as well. @8STORY8
A million little things, the same story line as this is us except instead of a family it’s friends. The same theme, the tug of the heart strings, men crying all the time.
wow. just wow. smh. Didn’t your mama teach you that if you didn’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all? IF you possess a heart, AND watched this show, you would agree with that ‘cheesy’ description.
Don’t say anything at all? the comments are about what viewers think of the show, we can critique it and say why we don’t like it.
I agree with the poster it’s cheesy, always trying to tug at the heart strings. We watched the first two series and thought it was good, then started watching series 3 and it’s “oh here we go again, the same old” just wish they wouldn’t keep going back in time, that father is just too good to be true.
Not everyone loves this series. Two seasons ENOUGH
Didn’t like it, looks like just another mainstream cop show with the usual predictable story line. Watched the first episode, no more
I didn’t think that I would like this but I did. it keep me wanting to see what was going to happen next. I also loved the fact that this are people of color in ALL the roles in this series. It made the series more relatable for me.
I don’t know how I feel about that. Yes it’s good to see people of color in roles, however, back in the 19th century the few black people in Britain would have been servants.
But since this is a work of fiction they can do whatever they want. It’s a fantasy world
Just like all the sex and openness, that didn’t happen.
I couldn’t watch it after one episode. I guess I’m used to the traditional 19th British costume dramas
After downloading an episode I found it had Arabic subtitles you can’t turn off. So I checked the remaining episodes and most of them have the subtitles and/or english closed captions.
I like it good series!! I like the actress that plays the flight attendant never seen her in anything else but she does a great job.
Looking good. On my Personal TV list. Giving the crap that has happened to Brendan in recent years, a bit of a weight gain is understandable. And he is pilling off the action pieces just fine.
??? seriously. This is terrible, bad acting, bad script. Fraser has turned into one of those over the hill B actors. Wasn’t sure if it was a comedy or just a bad action series.
Season 4 excellent, love Gillian Anderson playing Margaret Thatcher. Loved the way Maggie put the arrogant Queen in her place. Don’t know if that actually happened. Great job by the actress that played Dianah
Omg.. re writing history again
This is not a documentary but a TV series. If you want accuracy then read history books or watch a documentary. TV series and movies are about entertainment not about accuracy or the truth
No, no, no! I just watched the trailer and even though it’s intriguing, I don’t care for drama’s/movies with satanic overtones. I’ve never watch The Exorcist and even hearing the theme song played on the radio when I was a teen unnerved me to the point I had to sleep clutching my bible. Laugh if you must, but I draw the line…some believe in neither God nor the devil but where does that evil come from……hmmmm?
Skip this show unless you like CW teen tv… very disapointed by the acting, dialogue and character writing. I have fallen off TWD for the past few seasons and was really excited for a fresh take… Well this ain’t it man. More like the average teen against the world CW series with zombies sprinkled in
I agree, it’s like they decided to make a teen spin off. We know it’s going to be predictable, the writers are getting lazy and not using their imagination. I will give it a couple more episodes to see where it goes
Good actress and Paris looks great. I wouldn’t nornally watch a “chick” series but it’s not bad.
HOWEVER - very predictable and of course the usual stereotypes, we know that the French are going to resent her and then she wins them over………. They make the French out to be all arrogant and lazy, smoking everywhere, dogs pooping on sidewalks etc. I’ve been to Paris and didn’t see any of this.
I wonder what is wrong with Hollywood writers when they do the OBVIOUS, it could’ve been so much better. But I suppose they are making this for the teenage crowd who will over look the obvious
This is a great series.
