Really wonderfully done, acting was on point and story kept up a good pace.
Happy with how they wrapped things up, but do wonder if there is more to come.
Definite must watch once at least.

when we hear “school shooting” we think Columbine.
any incident on school grounds involving a firearm are considered a “school shooting”, as long as there is one injured party(not a death, just an injury). It doesn’t even matter if it occurred after school hours.
There is a narrative being pushed here.

You are kind of proving the point, which in my opinion is the gun/arms violence problem.
Also the effect it has on people who have been a bistander in this.

Living my whole life in Europe this ‘school shooting thing’ is thankfully a mostly foren concept to me.
But seeing as there have been over 92 shootings since 2018 in the us(don’t know if they closed the schools there as well because of covid) that is absolutely mind blowingly insane.
And knowing it’s probably not going to change is downright depressing…..
Well written and executed, shame it even has to be made…..
How I Met Your Father (2022) S1 E1
The best part of HIMYM was the very last scene of the story being told. It is Ted Mosby meeting the mother of the children he is telling the story to. It was a payoff built up by many years that fans waited for, and it didn’t disappoint. However, at the end of the very first episode, the mother says “and that’s how I met your father,” and proceeds to flash back to the four men she just met. I didn’t have any hopes for the show, but to take away that payoff immediately was The Last Jedi levels of subverted expectations, and that is never good.

Not that i don’t agree, the OG guessing who it was build up more suspense.
But this one still has some potential to become good and it’s a fun short watch.

Anyone who reads the series all ready knows who the culprit has to be. It’s not keeping my interest, and I loved the series as a kid. Would’t this have been better to turn this into a new mystery every week as opposed to the same, convoluted, interminable mystery?

If you would have watched the show until season 2 episode 5 instead of judging it by one or two episodes, you would have know you got your wish. I never grew up with Nancy Drew, not very big in Europe. But I really like the show and cast, they’re doing a great job.

Interestingly, if you watch the last five or six renditions of this book, every single one of them casts someone who has made it famous in Hollywood before they were famous. Gweneth Paltrow, Jonny Lee Miller, Kate Beckinsale, and a few others all got noticed with this one story. I wonder who will continue the streak with this one?
Nikkimcklevy seems you were right. Anya Taylor-Joy (Emma) is doing really well in Hollywood with her latest lead roll in the tv-show The Queens Gambit on Netflix. A very interesting and enjoyable show, her acting is becoming quite good!
Spontaneous (2020)
Insane coming of age story but very entertaining to watch. Just waiting for the next pop. Katherine Langford is becoming a great and diverse actress.
Warrior Nun (2020)
Lots of fun. I had to do a doubletake in the 1st scene—-from the surroundings and trappings I was expecting it to be taking place in the middle ages. Then the priest whipped out a cell phone.
I don’t understand why Alba Baptista (Ava) was cast with a US accent when she’s Portuguese. But then I’m only on ep 4—maybe we learn the reason later.
They went on a holiday in Portugal/ Spain and crashed there. It’s not really known where she is from originally. So that explains the accent. Maybe it’s different in the comics don’t know.
