The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Canuckian 7 points 4 years ago.

Still one of the best trilogies ever made, and this is one of the best MOVIES ever made. Not a wonder it won several Oscars..can’t believe this came out 16 yrs ago…CRAZY. This will hold up for decades to come surely. Any series they try to come out with in future (like the Wheel of Time or Sword of Truth for eg.) would be hard pressed to top these movies…you would need another Peter Jackson tbh..his vision for these movies was perfect, like he was made to make these movies lol. Anyways, easily 10/10 of course.

The Tax Collector (2020)
tapwater 13 points 3 years ago.

I watched this and kept thinking it will get better but it didn’t. I couldn’t understand half of the English dialogue because of the horrible sound quality, the half that I did was atrocious. Also a good portion of it was in Spanish without subs. The action scenes were terribly choreographed. Shia did well with what he was given. The director, writers, and crew are to blame for this one.

If done right, this could have turned into a fun series.

Canuckian 6 points 3 years ago.

I was debating watching this as the premise sounds alright, but your review helped save me wasting 2 hrs of my life lol. Thanks for the great review.

Defending Your Life (1991)
bucro 8 points 3 years ago.

If people are not aware Brooks is the brother of Super Dave Osborne. Super Dave’s real name was Bob Einstein and he had a great comedy career. If I am not mistaken that would mean Brooks’ real name is Albert Einstein.

Canuckian 5 points 3 years ago.

I did NOT know that, and i grew up watching Super Dave back in the 80’s lol..i always loved his crazy “stunts” at the end of every episode lol..and the announcer..wasn’t that “mean” Gene Okerlund or something, the guy from WWF? I could be mistaken, i am remembering back over 30 yrs here lol..i wonder if they have episodes of Super Dave here on PW…i would enjoy the nostialgic trip down memory lane if they do lol. Thanks for the tidbit, i love little connections like that between actors..cheers bucro!

Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
Canuckian 5 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This has been one of my favorite movies since i was young, Steve Martin’s Sadistic-Dentist song has been stuck in my head for ages, i still hum it once in awhile and i am always using little quotes from this movie to this day lol. The “animatronics” or “mechanics” if you may for Audrey II are absolutely amazing. I used the Mixdrop link and that was when i learned that there is an actual Directors cut which has a COMPLETELY different ending than the original version that i grew up watching…a much darker ending…tbh i didn’t like it, i prefer the happy ending of the original version lol..anyways, this is still a grew movie to watch and if you are interested to know after watching The Directors cut what the ending was for the original version i grew up watching, feel free to message me..basically the Hero wins and gets the girl…the Directors cut is the exact opposite where the Plant wins and eats everybody lol…(gotta remember to click Contains Spoilers before i post this lol)

Black Rain (1989)
Canuckian 5 points 3 years ago.

Absolutely love this movie, Douglas plays a total bad ass in this along with an amazing performance by Garcia. This has always been one of my favorite movies by Michael Douglas where he goes up against the Japanese “Yakuza” mafia. Bad-Ass movie with amazing performances by all..keep your eye out for a stunning Kate Capshaw as well. I will always give this movie a 10/10!

The Wheel of Time (2021)
kerfy 8 points 2 years ago.

Jordan had said early on in the series that he could finish them at any time because he had his notes for the whole story.. Sadly he did not.. He sorta milked it and slowed down about the time the video game came out.. I was very dissapointed when he died.. I think the wheel of time is probly the best of the genre.. Very similar to the belgariad series.. :)

Canuckian 7 points 2 years ago.

ooh The Belgariad quintet of books was FANTASTIC! Don’t forget the subsequent Malloreon quintet as well which is a direct continuation of the events in Belgariad..There is also the Elenium Trilogy which follows the Malloreon but I have never had the opportunity to read it but i’m sure it is just as amazing It was actually the first High Fantasy series I ever read (that wasn’t Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance lol). I had actually forgotten all about those series of books! David Eddings is an AMAZING writer! Think I might have to go out and re-buy the entire series for my collection!Did you say there is a WoT Video Game they came out with? Why have I never heard of this? lol..geez I only recently learned that they came out with one season of a show based on the Sword of Truth books a bunch of years ago lol..as soon as I learned this I went and gave a couple episodes a watch and I just couldn’t do it. The acting was terrible and the only similarity to the books was the names of the characters and places lol..I wasn’t going to ruin the enjoyment I experienced after just finishing the SoT series by watching any more lol. Anyways, Thanks for reminding me of one of my fave series of books which I haven’t read in over 25 yrs! Very much looking forward to revisiting those books! Cheers kerfy!

The Wheel of Time (2021)
Skylar 8 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I was so looking forward to this show but have been really disappointed. The script is poor to average at best, the acting below par, the special effects are so-so, characters are unlikeable, the story is disjointed and meanders from scene to scene and the sets look CGI. The trolloc’s look decent however! I’ll give it a couple more episodes but so far it has to be a 3/10 from me.

Canuckian 6 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I HATE to agree with you lol. Although Rosamund Pike is an established actress, she is not how i imagined Moiraine Damodred to look…but i can live with that. I expected Lan Madragoran to be much bigger, i guess i pictured him looking more like he did on the cover of the original Eye of the World novel lol, like a cross between a Mongol and a Samurai lol. Again, i can get over it…but when you say that none of the characters are likeable, i tend to agree there more heartedly. I know its only the first episode but none of them have really captured me yet…they all seem very underwhelming if you know what i mean. There is a good chance that all of this is simply because i have been so pumped to see this show since i heard about it that my expectations were just too high so in no way will I be NOT watching lol, but i DO hope that it becomes more….i don’t know, less choppy? You are right when you mentioned that if felt a little disjointed. I feel they are trying to rush too much at once. They dont need too! I keep my fingers crossed that they get their bearings and settle into a good rythm..i know it always takes a few episodes for a show to start getting their feet under it so heres to hoping! OH! and YES the Trollocs and the Fade looked BAD ASS lol i admit ;)

The Abyss (1989)
Canuckian 6 points 3 years ago.

Love this movie, This came out when James Cameron was at the height of his genius..he came out with a Trifecta of Blockbusters in a short amount of time, all Sci-fi which for me still makes him the best sci-fi Writer/Director of the 80’s/90’s easily. The Terminator, Aliens and The Abyss..what do they all have in common besides being in almost every top ten sci-fi ever list of any substance? Michael Biehn lol. Guess maybe he signed a contract with Cameron, or Cameron just really liked casting Biehn. Too bad no other director could get Biehn to act..if you have seen anything with him in it without Cameron directing, its terrible..he pretty much made only B movies afterwards and a few short run TV shows. Ed Harris and Liz Mastrantonio were both also excellent in their roles..that mini-sub scene though with the two of them..I mean damn, talk about your worst fears.
Anyways, I highly suggest this movie..it holds up better than most sci-fi that comes out now..for me, an easy 10/10.

Dragonslayer (1981)
Canuckian 6 points 4 years ago.

The Dragon CGI combined with live-action prop/stop motion photography is absolutely stunning considering it is a movie done in 1981.. IMO it could stand up to most movies in this genre even compared to Today’s standards. It has a decent story, decent script and as i said, the Dragon scenes are fantastic to watch, especially the big fight scene in the Dragons den. I remember this movie from when i was a little kid and it was the first of its kind i ever saw, and most likely is the movie that began my life long love of all things Fantasy. Don’t let the fact it was made by Disney throw you off, this has some pretty intense scenes (the part with the Princess who lost her “footing” in the cave ;) ) This movie was a collaboration between Paramount and Disney so you can see that it has pretty high production value. Anyway, all that aside, this remains one of my favorite movies as a kid and even today, i always come back to watch it at least once a year, usually around this time of year too though i don’t know why..it isn’t exactly a Christmas movie lol. If you like Fantasy and Dragons and magic and all that, and you have not seen Dragonslayer yet, i suggest giving it a watch, you won’t be disappointed. I give this a solid 8/10 all the way across the board.

Uncle Buck (1989)
Canuckian 8 points 4 years ago.

One of John Candys BEST imo..but then again, aren’t they ALL amazing? The guy was a legend…It’s nice that i grew up just down the street from where he did, i always felt a connection with the man i guess being from the same neighborhood (just different generations)…anyways, Uncle Buck is one of my top 3 faves…another is Who’s Harry Crumb and thirdly, i think its a tie between The Great Outdoors and Planes, Trains and Automobiles…as for Uncle Buck starring a very young Mackauly Culkin in his first movie role prior to Home Alone, i give this a solid 10/10 for great comedy and a great coming of age story. Thanks Uploaders!!

Blue Water, White Death (1971)
Canuckian 4 points 3 years ago.

Oh WOW!!! I have been trying to find this Documentary for AGES!! This is the Documentary that provided most of the underwater footage of the shark in Steven Spielbergs movie “JAWS”. Ron and Valerie Taylor were pioneers in the field and were the first people to ever record underwater footage of a Great White Shark. You will notice a LOT of similarities in the style of filming in this Doc and JAWS…Spielberg took a lot of inspiration for his style for filming JAWS from this amazing and ground breaking Documentary. If you love sharks as I do and you haven’t seen this yet, I highly recommend watching it. Thank you to whomever found this and added it the PW library!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

As much as i knock these Hobbit movies compared to the original LoTR trilogy due to their overuse of CGI which is why a lot of people felt more disconnected with these three movies compared to the original 3, i STILL love all these movies..the story is just so engrossing. I think out of the these three, this is my fave..can’t say the same for the first trilogy, they are ALL my faves lol..I watch this trilogy at least once a month to get my “fix” so to speak, followed by the other three of course..it is a full weekend of watching, but starting from this movie going all the way to Return of the King in one weekend, you can truly appreciate how AMAZING these movies are and how awesome the world of Middle Earth is..I read The Hobbit in Gr.10 for English class and it was one of the books that started me on my love for this genre (Fantasy of course) and i am SO glad it was the book that did it because it was so well written, so engrossing that you are constantly chasing that…what is the word..satisfaction i guess?..from all other books you read afterwards, and i admit, i love the journeys i get taken on when exploring for new worlds to delve into (Robert Jordans Wheel of Time series [amazing!], Forgotten Realms [Drizzt Do’Urden is my all time fave hero] and The Sword of Truth series are my top three after all my years of searching for grand, detailed and immersive worlds to live in). I read Fellowship of the Ring and half of Two Towers back in the day..never got to finish it..I am actually looking to buy the entire series, including the Silmallarion (did i spell that right?) which supposedly is a book of short stories covering the early history of Middle-Earth, how the Wizards came into being, Saurons story of how he turned from Good to evil, and it also follows stories that occured during the War of the Ring that were touched upon during the reading of the books but were never finished, so it supposedly gives closure to some stories and explores other events that happened while Frodo was travelling to Mordor but events that were just as important as a whole to the main story if you know what i mean..i am actually really looking forward to reading Silmarillion..Tolkien really created an entire Universe in such detail that you have to read the books to truly appreciate how deep he delved into the history of Middle-Earth that he created which is why he is known as one of the greatest writers of all time. Anyways, sorry this is so long lol. 10/10!

Torchy the Battery Boy (1956)
TisOnlyMe 5 points 2 years ago.

I watched this as a child. Reading the synopsis now, totally Lucy-in-the-sky, no wonder i became a hippie!! :))x

Canuckian 4 points 2 years ago.

LMFAO! No doubt! I have never heard of this old show being i was born in the mid 70’s but the synopsis here seems totally “far out”! Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds indeed! LOL

The Possession of Michael King (2014)
Canuckian 4 points 3 years ago.

Huh, not bad, not too bad at all. Surprised this isn’t a more well known flick in this genre considering there were a few recognizable faces in it. Had a pretty decent creep factor. I have seen better, but have definitely seen much worse lol. I would give this a solid 6.5/10. Cheers all!

The Rookie (2018) S2 E20
Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

Now THAT is how you end a Season..those last 5 minutes..WOW. Just LOVE this series! Nathan Fillion is really busting out his acting chops for this one imo. Every show he is in i really like, he just brings something that i can’t quite put my finger on, but it is refreshing. Really wish they would cast him to play Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movies they are making..i know they cast Tom Holland for some reason (i think they are starting off with a young Drake) but if you’ve sen the 15 min fan film that Nathan Fillion actually paid for himself as an Audition for the role, you would understand why he is the ONLY choice to play Drake. Anyways, 10/10 for The Rookie, can’t wait to see next seasons premiere!

The Wheel of Time (2021)
Miffy 6 points 2 years ago.

❤ love seeing his proof reader, editor, and wife mentioned in the cast section!! she’s the one that kept Sanderson on track after Robert Jordan passed away…

Canuckian 4 points 2 years ago.

Robert Jordan left a stack of notes and had the overall layout of how he wanted the series to finish thankfully, so all Sanderson had to do was fill in the blanks while Jordan still “steered the ship” so to speak. Sanderson did an amazing job matching Jordans style and his own flawlessly, you couldn’t even really notice the switch! Jordans wife was a huge influence and source of information and motivation for him at the end which is why he acknowledges her in the books. ;)

Die Hard (1988)
Canuckian 4 points 2 years ago.

Hans Gruber went back to Hogwarts after his run-in with John Maclean. He even changed his name to Severus Snape so Maclean could never track him down. Yup. Best Christmas movie EVER…and a great origin story for Snape ;) Merry Christmas to you all, you filthy animals ;) Ho Ho Ho!

Outlander (2008)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

I consider this a hidden gem mashing up the sci-fi AND Viking Age genres..don’t know how else to describe it lol…I love all movies set in the Viking eras and i also love all things sci-fi…this has BOTH! Not only that, but the Alien monster looks damn cool and is pretty darn scary lol. I come back to this movie every time i see it, so i WILL be watching this tonight. If you like sci-fi and vikings like i do, then give this a shot.

The Crow (1994)
Drizzt 6 points 3 years ago.

You would think, But the Wizards, with the help of Matron Baenre and the Spider Queen(doctors)got to me :) LOL. Guenhwyvar showed up a little late!

Canuckian 5 points 3 years ago*.

But your wife Cattie-Brie became quite the powerful Sorceress, in BOTH incarnations ;) Surely she could do something to counterract Baenre’s (or Gromphs!) machinations! and Guenwhyvar is NEVER late, Drizzt Do’Urden, she arrives PRECISELY when she means too…hehehe ;) Would love to talk Forgotten Realms with you sometime bro, huge fan of Drizzt and the Realms here and don’t meet many who know the Realms lol. Cheers! (did you read the new Drizzt books btw starting with The Companions?

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was awesome! I even caught Raven using the old “F” word once..almost missed it lol. Definitely for a mature audience, never seen so many familiar faces from the DC Universe all in one movie, and there was some pretty graphic content too! Seeing old favorite heros and Iconic heroes we all know and loive get torn in half, eviscerated, decapitaed..i mean hold CRAP! This was awesome all the way through,it was action packed and managed to pull on the old heart strings at the same time. Definitely one of the most “mature” of the DC animated movies imo…and those last couple minutes with Constantine and Flash re. a new Flashpoint, i mean, that’s HUGE right? Flashpoint in the comics was a massive turning point for the DC Universe in both video and graphic novel/comics, so if i’m right, they just opened the door for a whole NEW slew of DC movies if you know what i mean with possible entirely new backstories for some, good guys now bad and bad guys now good even..ANYTHING can happen just like it did with the first Flashpoint if you remember. I wonder, did this spill over from the comics or are they going to base future comics due to the events of the Apokolips War..ugh, DCU is so huge it can make your head spin lol..the whole multiverse thing always confused the heck out of me lol …either way, can’t WAIT to see what happens next!

Time Bandits (1981)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

Grew up watching this amazing classic! It is a crazy ride from beginning to end with all kinds of crazy characters and adventures. Highly recommended! 10/10! So happy to see this movie here on PW! Thanks guys!

The Barbarians (1987)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

Oh my gosh, i can’t believe this is here LOL! LOVED this movie growing up! It has the WORST sound effects, the worst special effects but it has some of the funniest, cheesiest lines and it really doesn’t (IMO anyway) take itself too seriously. If you are in the mood for some cheesy, B-Movie fun, give this a go…i know i am definitely going to watch this later, i haven’t seen this in decades!! Thanks Uploaders!

Enemy Mine (1985)
Canuckian 5 points 5 years ago.

@Robophone i couldn’t agree more with your comment, Enemy Mine is an absolute Fantastic Sci-fi that is very much character driven..Gosset Jr. and Quaid both nailed their respective roles and the ending of this movie is absolutely superb..so many edge of your seat moments and some very touching scenes between the characters. I can come back to this film and watch it anytime, no matter my mood. Putting this straight into my Faves…again..LOL

Supergirl (2015) S3 E21
Canuckian 6 points 5 years ago.

ugh, this show is so ultra left and PREACHY its disgusting..only reason i am watching it now is to catch up for the crossover event that happened a little while back on the shows i DO like (Arrow and Flash)..they really don’t even try to hide the shit they are trying to push on this show…addressing major/important events etc. going on in the world on a TV show and bringing things to light is nothing new, but bringing light to something and pushing your own agenda on it are two very different things.

Code 8 (2019)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

Awesome, been waiting for this since 2016 when they released the short to garner funding through Indiegogo…It took a couple years but it was totally worth the wait. This was a great flick, Stephen and Robbie Amell have great chemistry (helps that they are cousins ofc). Looking forward to the Code 8 series that i hears Netflix is coming out with…wonder what direction that is going to take…either way, i will be waiting anxiously!

The Warriors (1979)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

Still one of my fave movies of all time. Grew up watching it with my older brother and it holds a special place in me. Some very iconic lines that are still used today in this cult classic. An EASY 10/10 from me. “Warriors, come out and PLAAYEEYAAY!!”

The Wheel of Time (2021)
Trent 3 points 2 years ago.

I noticed the style change in the writing. Thanks for explaining what happened.

Canuckian 3 points 2 years ago.

Really? I thought that Sanderson was masterful in utilizing Jordans style and his own..I barely noticed tbh..at least, nothing that took away from the story or how I percieved it as I read. I guess its all in the eye of the beholder ;) Cheers man

Night of the Wolf (2014)
longhaired metalhead 5 points 2 years ago*.

One of the greatest Werewolf movies ever made no CGI crap pure physical effects the way a true horror movie should be likeable relatable chars even if u dont like werewolf movies still worth watching cant say enough good things about this up there with american werewolf in london
PS if u look for this movie and cant find it search ‘Late Phases’

Canuckian 3 points 2 years ago.

Saw your comment and had to check it out..love a good Werewolf movie and to see you compare this to AWiL was high praise indeed. Gonna have to give this a watch, adding it to my watch list! I also agree that physical effects, though not as realistic as CGI, have a certain creep factor that just makes it more scary imo, glad to see others feel the same lol. I miss the days of old when they went through tanker trucks of fake blood in a good horror movie back in the day lol. Cheers and thanks!

Kung Fury (2015)
Canuckian 3 points 3 years ago.

Thanks to all the comments, you guys have reminded me of this cult phenom! I remember watching it when it first came out and being absolutely blown away with how much I enjoyed it! I saved it on my faves on the old PW to come back and watch again one day and I forgot all about it until now..I can’t WAIT to watch this later tonight! If you haven’t seen this yet, stop what you are doing and watch it! This is pure, unadulterated FUN. PERIOD! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

The Final Countdown (1980)
[deleted]
Canuckian 3 points 5 years ago.

Couldn’t agree more, this is an absolute amazing movie with a young Martin Sheen starring amongst many other familiar faces. Love the entire premise of this movie, and that ending! Loved it! Thanks for reminding me about FotN Marlboro, haven’t seen that in ages and ages..i was just looking to see what i wanted to watch tonight, think i might go give that classic fave of mine a watch…think i was a teenager the last time i watched it lol..honestly i remember very little so it will be like watching it for the first time again! All i remember is that i really loved that movie lol.

Kinky Kong (2006)
Canuckian 3 points 5 years ago.

The moral of this story, never give up chasing your dreams…COUGH..yeah…who comes up with this stuff LMAO!!! This would do even SyFy proud and give it a run for its money LOL! Kinky Kong…LMFAO!! I almost expected Ron Jeremy to make a cameo, he lives for this stuff LOL!

Dune (2021)
Canuckian 3 points 3 years ago.

I had NO idea they were remaking this movie! The original Dune with Patrick Stewart from the 80’s is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I always felt that it needed MORE when it ended…of course, at that time I didn’t realize it was based on a series of books which I am planning on reading very soon…is J.Momoa playing Paul Atreides aka Moadib? I have a hard time seeing that for the only reason that in the beginning of the movie, Paul was just a kid, a young man..Momoa has a certain intensity that he would have to tone down a bit to play a young naive Paul. Is there any previews/trailers for this yet?

Underwater (2020)
Canuckian 3 points 4 years ago.

One time watch for me. Movie was way too dark, was really hard to tell what was going on half the time (fault of how it was shot, not quality of the upload) A nice high tension, movie with a creepy atmosphere and some interesting creatures, but this could have been SOO much better. Kristen Stewart was a bad choice for the role. I give this a 5/10

The Wheel of Time (2021)
BladesofTroy 4 points 2 years ago.

Well I mean he already writes in a somewhat Jordan style, The Mistborn series being a sort of darkest timeline where He Who Shall Not Be Named won. But yes there were times, and dont ask me specifics it’s been a few years, that it was noticeable that it was not Jordan writing. That’s just me though. And it is neither bad nor good. Just a thing that is.

Canuckian 3 points 2 years ago.

ya i hear you man :) Re. The Mistborn series you mentioned, i have never heard of it. If i understood you correctly, are you saying that it is based in the WoT universe where the bad guys won instead of the good guys? Its based on the same world and characters? I am most curious now because i have been looking for a new fantasy series to dig my teeth into and its difficult to find GOOD High Fantasy writers and a good story..i just finished The Sword of Truth series and it was amazing!

UHF (1989)
Canuckian 3 points 3 years ago.

This was one of my fave movies growing up lol, forgot all about it until recently, and quite happy when i found it here…one of the things i always liked most about Prime Wire…they really do have a LOT of movies..cheers linkers!! Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) is absolutely HILARIOUS!!..imo his Kramer character from Seinfeld is just a toned down version of his character in this movie named Stanley Spudowski lol If you want an easy laugh and don’t mind zany and spoof humor, i highly suggest giving this a watch lol

Love Johnny Mnemonic…based on your comparison to that sci-fi classic, i am putting this on my watch list. Thanks :)

Gotham (2014)
Canuckian 4 points 5 years ago.

Wait, there is only 12 episodes in the last season? So the episode titled “The Beginning…” is the series finale? Really? Well DAMN, i thought they were just taking a mid-season break…THAT sucks..i would have liked to have seen a few episodes with ACTUAL Batman after 4 and a half seasons of character building…ah well, was a fun ride while it lasted…bye-bye Gotham…oh, and for the record, i absolutely LOVED how Alfred Pennyworth was portrayed in this series.

City of Angels (1998)

I forgot how beautiful this movie was, one of Cage’s BEST IMO. Meg Ryan and Cage were spectacular in this movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, i highly suggest it. 10/10

Unhinged (2020)
Invalid ID 1 points 3 years ago.

Holy Fat Russel Crowe, You think he put on weight for this or is just that…..rotund now?

Canuckian 4 points 3 years ago.

I like to think he did it for the role…though its sad to think Hollywood thinks your “average” man looks like that..anyway, remember that “Mummy” re-make that came out a couple years ago with Tom Cruise, supposed to be the start of DC’s “Dark Universe” movie series…anyways, Crowe played Hyde (as in Jekyll and Hyde) in that movie and he looked great, think and nowhere near as rough as he appeared in this flick so yeah, that leads me to believe this was all done for this role.

Crawl (2019)
Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

This was a pretty good edge-of-your-seat thriller flick. Nothing Oscar worthy of course, but a good Saturday night popcorn flick to watch with the significant other. Nice to see Barry Pepper again, haven’t seen him n a movie for awhile. A solid 7/10 from me :) CHEERS!

Aliens (1986)
Canuckian 4 points 4 years ago.

IMO still one of the BEST sci-fi horror movies ever made along with the original of course..the first Alien was more suspense/horror, this was more action/horror but both done perfectly. There have been rumors of a revitalization of the Alien timeline where they pick up where THIS one left off thus rendering Alien 3 and that god awful Resurrection null and void, like they never happened. Supposedly, one of the ideas thrown around were about an older Newt picking up the Torch where Ripley left off and an older Hicks being a big part of it…Weaver was reportedly willing to go for it, even went as far as having story boards and props made up, but it got lost in red tape and has been in limbo for quite some time…i really wish they would do it though..no more of this Prometheus crap, give me some Newt and Hicks!

Warrior (2011)
Canuckian 5 points 4 years ago.

Outstanding movie, simply brilliant. The feels run deep in this movie, couple that with some absolutely stunning fighting and some brilliant acting by ALL involved, especially Hardy and Nolte and you have one hell of a good movie with an amazing story that will really tug on the heart strings. An EASY 10/10

The Mandalorian (2019) S1 E2

Wow, another excellent episode!! I KNEW i recognized the voice of the little Pig Faced dude helping the Mandalorian, its Nick Nolte’s voice for sure…especially since i just watched the latest Gerrard Butler movie where he is accused of attempting to assasinate the Prez..Nick Nolte played his Dad in that movie so his voice is fresh in my mind. Cool Beans. Anyways, hope this keeps up, this is my new fave series for sure! “I Have Spoken”..(cheers Doomage ;) ) lol

I still think this is way better than the remake they did with Colin Farell a few years back..one of Arnie’s classics for sure, right up there with Running Man and Predator. I have loved this movie since i was a teen, and i will always give this a solid 10/10!

Hoping to watch tonight! Tom Hardy was great as Bain + stretches his craft in impressive ways. Thank You PW!

If you are a fan of Hardy as i am, if you haven’t seen it already, i highly recommend the movie “Warrior”..anyways, it also stars Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte (imo one of the BEST outings by Nolte in a long time, he absolutely nailed it!) It is an AMAZING movie with top acting all-round. Hope you enjoy it! Cheers!

The first DBS will always e one of my faves, but this one wasn’t too bad…better than the second imo which was much more lower budget..the sharks in this looked pretty darn good! Good for a one time watch, i give this a 7/10. Just a good ole romp ‘n chomp flick lol.
