Night Hunter (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The whole split personality sick twisted creepy psychopath has been done to death and in the shadow of Silence of the lambs the genre tries to out sick itself and set a new higher bar …. but in the end its just more grotesque and i ask myself, was this entertainment or a parasite sucking out an emotional response ? Ya so good movie eh !

The Brawler (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

This guys story was used by Sylvester Stallone (for Rocky) who never bothered to ask permission first, so dude calls Stallone out on it … not bad low budg peice.

The Call of the Wild (2020)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

I went to the cinema with my girlfriend for this one and we enjoyed it, Buck (the dog)is quite the character and cant help causing a little chaos wherever he goes. Harrison Ford was alright too and the story with him and buck was heartwarming. Recommend….yup.

Vita & Virginia (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

Fascinating, Imagine thinking you know who you are and then being in a relationship with someone who is by nature deeply, deeply analytical and then after something you said and did have them aim that mind on you ?
These two highly intelligent yet quite different women brought things out in each other and this story appears to capture how they did that, these two women’s relationship was a real psychological drama. Worth a watch 5/5

Seven Psychopaths (2012)
SnakePliscan 0 points 3 years ago.

The film starts off with a struggle for ideas with a psycho killer theme but by mid point the story has completely gone off the rails and just devolves into an exercise in stupidity and pointless killing, this film was later remade as another equally bad Sam Rockwell psycho killer effect called “Mr Right”, wish i come have my time back on both those stinkers. 2/5

Bull Durham (1988)
SnakePliscan 1 points 5 years ago.

What do you get when you cross a baseball junkie with a romance story … this (great) movie.

Death and the Maiden (1995)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

The acting by the three main actors in this is just mind blowing, Sigourney Weaver as a woman with PTSD is epic ! 6/5

Unsuspecting student ? seriously ? Worth a watch just ta see how that could even happen ?

Pride and Prejudice (1995) S1 E2

This is the cringe part of the series where the Bennets and Mr Collins make the other characters aghast with their behavior , its quite the spectacle !

I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007)

Redo of Healer (2021)

This is actually a tale of revenge … well to be more precise “sweet revenge” and its kind of amusing too how events re-unfold

Stranger Things (2016) S1 E8

I really liked Morgan Fairchild’s cameo in this.

Mine (2021)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Ah nothing like a mystery with lots of complexity.

Ava (2020)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

There are scenarios here that simply could not happen in any real world even in a city where the police are de-funded, there are some top tier actors here and they tried to make this believable but i think i would have gotten more satisfaction from a roadrunner wile e coyote cartoon.

Bull (2020)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

I watched this because it got a 8.4 on IMDB an it was in a gem list, i will say the the actress who played the gurl in this has some chops but the story it was to slow and meandering for me.

The Secrets We Keep (2020)
Snoop 2 points 3 years ago.

Polanski did not write Death and the Maiden. He just directed a script based on the play by Dorfman so characters and conversations owe nothing to him.
Noomi Rapace would have been excellent in D&tM. This movie wastes her talent imo.

SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Some interesting points and stuff i didn’t know, Rapace in D&tM yup i’d watch that! tks Snoop

Tell Me Your Secrets (2021)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Kind a cool story, lotsa twists and nobody is who they seem to be, season 2 should be interesting….

The Boys (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

The kinkster in me liked the dynamic between Madelyn Stillwell and homelander, wish they pushed the boundary on that one a little more.
Popclaw and the landlord that was pretty wack, yup first season was pretty good looking forward the next one.

Unfit: The Psychology of Donald Trump (2020)
Bkr2110 5 points 3 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

I didn’t think this movie was very good. Regarding US politics, Obama had to deal with the Bush recession. A record number of people were on food stamps under Obama. 95% of the jobs he supposedly helped create as part of the slowest economic recovery in history were part-time or contract. Trump doesn’t hide his temper as well as Biden but in my opinion, like him or not, he seems more cognizant, fit in that regard. Hunter Biden is on tape bragging about his and Joe’s relationship with “the f*cking Communist Chinese spy chief”.

Hunter arranged White House visits with Mexican businessmen and seemed very involved and enriched by it all. Burisma hired Hunter with the purpose of meeting the State Department. Biden visited the Ukraine within a month of his requested presence. Seems clear now Trump was impeached for what Biden did. Texts say not to refer to him by name. Most believe he is referred to as “the big guy”. 10% to 50% kickbacks on deals are alleged. This election is about issues, not personalities.

People don’t care if Biden or Trump are honest businessmen. Biden is a former segregationist who didn’t want his kids raised in a “racial jungle” and voted for every war in his 47 years in office, sending (primarily) the poor off to receive and partake in big budget atrocities, many returning dead, psychologically haunted or maimed for life, some on unauthorized extended duties with no relief in sight. He voted to tax social security and advocated repeatedly for cost of living freezes for seniors in need as Bernie pointed out.

He supported a disastrous crime bill that went after people, destroying the lives of mostly young people, many of them black lives, for minor drug offenses, all the while pulling strings to get leniency for his son’s drug offenses. He is adamant marijuana is a gateway drug. I am not a drug user but I know people who smoke pot and they haven’t moved onto anything heavier though. They are completely harmless and functional.

He struggled with a pandemic and got poor reviews by some health authorities. Not just Trump. No new wars under Trump which I am happy about. Under Obama/Biden we were in 8. Obama supported terrorists in Libya who advocated slavery and black slaves were auctioned off there in chains in 2017 due in large part to his decision to get involved there.

Young voter participation is up 200% and these Bernie Socialists who didn’t make it a priority to go to the polls in the past will likely tip this for Biden. Biden is winning amongst 18-34 and 65 and up. Trump is winning the rest, overwhelmingly amongst workers. I am hoping for the best with a President Biden which seems likely. Bernie is a more honest left winger in my opinion. I would have preferred a Trump/Sanders matchup. I am anti-war, pro civil liberties more than anything.

SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Some really good points, is that snake Harris gonna help Biden get votes anywhere but california ?

A Bird of the Air (2011)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

I’m seein this as a kinda intravert meets extravert and sparks start to fly story. The parrots funny and acts as a vehicale to give the guy some porpose, the gal is attacted to stroung silinent type and trys to crack her way through his hard shell to get to his heart, shes a real romantic and most pleasant to watch. enjoy.

Spotless (2015)

Well if an audience participant enjoyed the character “Mr Clean” in pulp fiction then they just may like Jean in Spotless.

This is not “adult” material. Thanks, I watched it on another site.

Apparently it has been deemed that art being art is no longer an artistic expression, so for those who don’t comprehend art and thus have the experience of being hurt and offended we have censorship, You must remember these warnings are of course not intended for you, just an accommodation for those who have been more heavily indoctrinated..

The Night of the Iguana (1964)

All the main characters are pivotal to the whole story, written by Tennessee Williams some amazing dialogue.

Dig (2015)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Yup, Drama Thriller Mystery and last but not least Religion, the final ingredient that makes people … irrational, and makes for an interesting story.

Disobedience (2018)
SnakePliscan 1 points 5 years ago*.

I thought it was okay, if your a religious person this is gonna mean way more than what an agnostic would feel, this is all about being between a rock and a hard place and all the moral implications of that. I think this was a stretch for Rachel Mcadams, i’d like to read what others think about that.

Tell It to the Bees (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

Basic story, period piece, the two leads were good with Anna playing the darker character with wounds from the past. I guess the story could’ve had some deeper dialogue.

The Toll (2021)
naya11 -1 points 3 years ago.

I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself.
I keep looking for a good horror movie and keep getting disappointed at the same time.
First, the movie is too dark, I couldn’t see anything, and what is the point then.
Second, these two are some of the most annoying characters I have seen recently.
It would appear they figured the thing out, but, not a second later they fall in the same exact traps.
Not surprisingly, I rooted for the bad guy the whole time.
Skip this one. 1/5 I

SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

And miss the opportunity to hang with a socially awkward driver, no way ! Maybe rooting for the bad guy is the whole point…

Disobedience (2018)
simplybloo 2 points 3 years ago.

I agree with you on the religious aspect. Someone who is religious and/or apart of a conservative community depicted in this movie will relate more, but the emotional aspect of not being who you truly are is something that can be felt by anyone. I think this movie was ok, although I find myself being more curious on the aftermath more than the events leading up to the end. I did not like Rachel McAdams in this role…something about her did not convince me of the character she was playing. Other than that, I really liked the Dovid character and especially his development toward the end. I really felt his pain.

SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Thanks simplyboo ya Rachel McAdams part should have been cast with someone in a different headspace.

Yes, God, Yes (2020)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

What do God and sex have to do with each other, well lets pit history and reality against one another on that subject and you might have some interesting elements that you could make a film about, an amazing watch on the taboo, enjoy….

Sooner or Later (1979)

Really enjoyed this, surprised myself with fond memories of teen love, the way they wrapped the final chapter was pretty sweet. enjoy.

The Chumscrubber (2005)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Yeah the “burbs” are supposed to be the place to relax away from the hustle of the city but take a closer look and you got yourself some serious dysfunctionality, interesting communal character study.

SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

Great little flick with two teen girls plotting about the marriage of their respective parents.

Fallen Angel (2003)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Pretty sappy (there’s even a little blind girl with a dog) specially at the end, Gary (the wooden man) Sinse in a romance, had to see it to believe it.

A Date for Mad Mary (2016)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

Most enjoyable character study, a touching look at the undercurrents of anger.

Tall Girl (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

This is about the characters that surround tall girl as much as its about Jodi herself, its enjoyable to watch how the cast play off her in these different situations, yup lots going on to keep the viewer amused. Enjoy.

Do You Like Brahms? (2020) S1 E7
SnakePliscan 1 points 3 years ago.

You can just tell this is all leading up to Joon playing piano at Songs recital and for the first time she will play near perfection and he will enjoy himself playing for nothing more than just that.
