This was the first opportunity for us to watch any real sci-fi on TV. these were not shown in the afternoon, but on Saturday morning & was a great way for us to start the weekend off with Steve Zodiac, and his crew that consisted of Venus, a doctor, Professor Matic, the science officer, and Robert the Robot, the rocket’s mechanical co-pilot. a great Anderson production that lead to many many great tv series and films enjoy this blast off back to when life and all was much more entertaining and interesting a great show for kids and adults . 🚀🛰🛸

The great late Michael Elphick did a great job in his role as private detective Ken Boon. It was an interesting series which also helped rising stars such as Neil Morrisey and Elizabeth Carling.
Ken Boon an ex-fireman who became a private detective in Birmingham. He was never in any danger but he worked damn hard and put his life at risk on many occasion.we all liked him riding his 650cc motorcycle into danger and adventure.
The scripts were fantastic for this show and the actors all played their parts extremely well. Great actors and great scripts equals one thing only ,a great show.

Brimstone & Treacle is probably one of Dennis Potters most well-known titles, not least because of the ban it received directly before its originally scheduled transmission date of 6 April 1976. It took eleven years, with different tv executives, before the play was finally broadcast for the first time,in 1987.from its original making ,howsoever a version of the same staring sting & Denholm Elliott whom was also in this original version was released in 1982 . Brimstone & Treacle is a product of the time in which it was made, but because it was never transmitted at the time it should have been, sadly it can never be truly assessed as social commentary of the times it was filmed in .

This film was orginaly cast with Richard Beckinsale (6 July 1947 – 19 March 1979) unfortunately he suffered a fateful heart attack After filming the 1st few scenes and the filming was postponed and the world lost a great actor and kate and Sam lost there loving farther .

A cool 80’s sci/fi adaption of a classic great story, staring Ernest Borgnine & Anthony Quinn . i still have this on vhs as a full film and on dvd from 2000 as a film too, never new it played out as series tho.
