Sword of Gideon (1986)
SnakePliscan 0 points 4 years ago.

This story is based on the same true events as Steven Spielberg’s (1/2 hour shorter) “Munich” this version is perhaps more true as it does not show the Israelis nearly as forgiving to their field operatives. The story is a very tense tit for tat covert war fought between the israeli government and a number of terror groups at the time, it puts into perspective the current global political situation concerning Israel. Great watch.

Jack and Jill vs. the World (2010)
SnakePliscan -1 points 4 years ago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZjEEyMsWUc ……. Romance movies where one of the persons has something wrong with them and it becomes this thing, weirds me out. I really hope this sort of story isnt about equal representation. I thought the acting was good.

The whole split personality sick twisted creepy psychopath has been done to death and in the shadow of Silence of the lambs the genre tries to out sick itself and set a new higher bar …. but in the end its just more grotesque and i ask myself, was this entertainment or a parasite sucking out an emotional response ? Ya so good movie eh !

High Plains Drifter (1973)
SnakePliscan 3 points 4 years ago.

One of my favs ive watched multiple times , not as many times as the good bad and the ugly but a good one just the same , i liked the psychological aspect of this one , the gunslinger makes them all perform certain tasks aimed at revealing themselves and owning their nature. good watch.

Legion (2017) S1 E1
EchotaChick 2 points 4 years ago.

Hello! Enjoy Legion!I am very jealous of you and anyone else who is just beginning to watch this series! 10/10 stars from me. I got lost a LOT, so I had to watch and often re-watch, sometimes even a 2nd rewatch. It was worth it, though! And even when I just could not figure something out, it would be explained later. The last season, especially, wraps it all up beautifully. Watch it, peoples of earth! =)

Thanks , im inspired by your comment ….

The Call of the Wild (2020)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

I went to the cinema with my girlfriend for this one and we enjoyed it, Buck (the dog)is quite the character and cant help causing a little chaos wherever he goes. Harrison Ford was alright too and the story with him and buck was heartwarming. Recommend….yup.

Dirty Love (2006)
SnakePliscan 0 points 4 years ago.

Wow this character is nuts and then one of her boobs pops out and it’s like yeah that makes perfect sense at this very moment. So yeah this lady does not take getting cheated on and dumped very well and really who would but the revenge part is a cross between cringe worth and pretty darn funny so yeah is was a good time. enjoy.

I watched the first 11 minutes with “mixdrop.co” freezing every 10 seconds, i stopped it a few times but it never buffered in, waste of time, looks like it could be a good movie for someone who can get it to stream.

Vita & Virginia (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

Fascinating, Imagine thinking you know who you are and then being in a relationship with someone who is by nature deeply, deeply analytical and then after something you said and did have them aim that mind on you ?
These two highly intelligent yet quite different women brought things out in each other and this story appears to capture how they did that, these two women’s relationship was a real psychological drama. Worth a watch 5/5

Plus One (2019)

This was good, the main characters had some chemistry so it was fun watch

No Country for Old Men (2007)
SnakePliscan 2 points 4 years ago.

The mob guy in this film is relentless, his determination is almost in a twisted way to be admired.

Boy Meets Girl (2015)
SnakePliscan 0 points 4 years ago.

I thought this was very well acted by the lead and she carried the movie. There are morality questions and so we watch that played out, lots of dialog keeps everything moving along, there where a couple scenes that were pretty priceless.

Hereafter (2010)
SnakePliscan 0 points 4 years ago.

I don’t know why i like this movie ? i’ve watched it multiple times, i think it might be to slow for some people but a journey takes time.

The Details (2016)
SnakePliscan -1 points 4 years ago.

There are a number of unforgettable scenes in this movie with Ray liotta and Lura linley that alone make this movie worth watching.
This Jeff character is really well written and begs the question “who the F is this guy?”

Not too hard to figure out where this is going so when it comes together at the end, there’s our mischief maker and funny too, great characters throughout, enjoy.

Skin Deep (2015)

If you’ve ever hung out with a random stranger for a day or a weekend then you can relate to this, Funny how you can tell a stranger things you wouldn’t ordinarily tell anyone.

The Secrets of Gravity: In the Footsteps of Albert Einstein (2016)

Nice Graphics, little slow for me, Kids might like the concept

Waitress (2007)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

How can a film about a chick who makes pies at a diner have a tasty filling ? but it does and it’s funny! The three waitress in this are super lovable and Jeremy Sisko once again nails down the narcissist psycho type and the ending comes around to make perfect sense.

Take a relationship and break it down through the perception of the two people involved, interesting ?

Go Ask Alice (1973)
SnakePliscan 0 points 4 years ago.

This film puts you inside the head of a young girl and lets you see first hand through her diary entries and interactions with friends what leads to a hard core addiction and all that goes with that. There’s some food for thought here as people were so ignorant back then. As an addict who has been to 1000’s of meetings ive heard this story before but never told quite like this. worth a watch.

The Brawler (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

This guys story was used by Sylvester Stallone (for Rocky) who never bothered to ask permission first, so dude calls Stallone out on it … not bad low budg peice.

Tell It to the Bees (2019)
SnakePliscan 1 points 4 years ago.

Basic story, period piece, the two leads were good with Anna playing the darker character with wounds from the past. I guess the story could’ve had some deeper dialogue.

Anything (2018)
SnakePliscan 2 points 5 years ago.

This is a great movie, i think it asks the question, are there any limits to the possibilities of human love ? This movie packs a lot into a limited amount of time, each scene moves the piece forward to one heck of an ending.

Disobedience (2018)
SnakePliscan 1 points 5 years ago*.

I thought it was okay, if your a religious person this is gonna mean way more than what an agnostic would feel, this is all about being between a rock and a hard place and all the moral implications of that. I think this was a stretch for Rachel Mcadams, i’d like to read what others think about that.

Andover (2018)
SnakePliscan 2 points 5 years ago*.

I liked it but then i like twisted characters so there’s some weird stuff happens and it’s pretty entertaining.

On Chesil Beach (2018)
SnakePliscan 0 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Okay there’s a brief but weird scene with Florence and her father creeping up from behind, i’m not sure but there’s a hint of sexual abuse and i think Florence may have been abused and it’s so deeply buried that she’s not even aware of it. i think this movie may be about trauma that people carry and don’t even know about, they have no explanation for their behavior. Its tragic eh ..

On Chesil Beach (2018)
SnakePliscan 2 points 5 years ago.

Someone else gave this a 1 where i gave it a 5, its that kind of movie, some will see it as a tragedy others just won’t care. The Movie unfolds normal enough and then it starts to show signs of cracks under the plaster, there’s a hint of something sinister and we begin to examine the characters more closely. Acting is top shelf and these two really deliver a memorable performance.

Sweet Bird of Youth (1962)
SnakePliscan 0 points 5 years ago.

Geraldine Page is amazing in this.

The Night of the Iguana (1964)
SnakePliscan 1 points 5 years ago.

All the main characters are pivotal to the whole story, written by Tennessee Williams some amazing dialogue.

Cake (2015)
SnakePliscan 2 points 5 years ago.

This is a great movie, i’ve watched this one a bunch of times, the way Claire transcends her prison of mental and physical pain is beautiful to watch, she does it in an awkward way that is fascinating to watch. Jennifer Aniston really locked in to this and shows some remarkable talent.

My Days of Mercy (2019)
SnakePliscan 2 points 5 years ago.

The two leads have a real chemistry together and it carries the film nicly, they don’t speak their feelings for each other, they show it with body language, it was fascinating to watch and as real as it gets. It’s kind of a weird juxtaposition but the other story here with this romance is people throughout the state waiting to be executed on death row, both characters are heavily invested there and it twists the emotions. Five stars ! enjoy.
